“Wiped to Hyped” Spotify Playlist

wiped to hyped
Through music, we can go from worn out and settled to persistent and excited. In other words, we can go from “Wiped to Hyped.”

This post was written in the midst of our world experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic. Though it discusses topics specific to this time, its insights and scriptures can be appreciated at any time.

In the midst of an ongoing pandemic, continued racial injustice, California wildfires, and political unrest, it can be easy to feel worn out and doubt that God is actually paying attention.

[27] Why, then, O Jacob’s tribes, would you ever complain? And my chosen Israel, why would you say, “Yahweh isn’t paying attention to my situation. He has lost all interest in what happens to me.”

Isaiah 40:27 TPT

When we don’t believe God has lost interest in us, we get easily wiped out, unable to handle the weight of life. But no matter how tired or worn out we feel, God hasn’t forgotten us. Here is his response to the scripture above:

[28] Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do! [29] He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. [30] Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. [31] But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.

Isaiah 40:28-31 TPT

When we feel tired, weak, and wiped out by life, God can give us the strength that empowers us to keep moving forward.

But this can feel easier said than done.

That’s where music can help us. Music speaks to the soul and helps us express parts of ourselves that are too deep for words. Through music, we can understand and express our sadness, anger, happiness, insecurity, and so much more.

Through music, we can go from worn out and settled to persistent and excited. In other words, we can go from “Wiped to Hyped.”

This playlist is meant to display the same progression David went through in the Psalms – starting with songs about feeling lonely, rejected, and afraid of being known, and progressing to seeing how God loves us for who we are and understands what we go through.

Though this progression is meant to help you work through your emotions as you listen, you can listen to the playlist in whatever order you want – it is meant to help you work through, understand and express the emotions of your heart!
