About this course

After Methuselah was born, Enoch lived in a close relationship with God for 300 more years; he also had other sons and daughters. He lived to be 365 years old, but Enoch had such a close and intimate relationship with God that one day he just vanished—God took him.

Genesis 5:22-24 Voice

In these few verses, we learn about a man who was known for his remarkably close, intimate relationship with God.

Enoch didn’t reduce his relationship with God to a religious ritual. He walked intimately with God.

Though Enoch lived over 5,000 years ago in a very different time (when, for example, people had very long lifespans), his walk with God still speaks to us; we can experience this same kind of powerful, personal relationship with God today.

God doesn’t want religious routine or perfect behavior, though it’s very easy to turn Christianity into a burdensome set of rules. God offers each of us a personal, intimate friendship with him, where we share our hearts with him and experience his incredible love, strength, and purpose in our daily lives.

If you want to learn how to walk with God like Enoch did, we put together a 7-day plan to help you get started.

What to expect in this plan

Every day this week, we’ll send you a passage of the Bible to read, a set of questions to reflect on, and a piece of curated content from Deep Spirituality to dig into. Our hope is that these tools spark new insights in your personal Bible study and prayer time, and that God leads you to new truths that deepen your friendship with him.

Here’s a quick overview of what you can expect each day:

  • Day 1: Understand Yourself to Understand God
  • Day 2: Enjoy Your Friendship with God
  • Day 3: Believe in the Power of God’s Word
  • Day 4: Pray Vulnerably and Specifically
  • Day 5: Go Beyond a Quiet Time
  • Day 6: Trust God’s Purpose and Destiny for You
  • Day 7: Get Stronger Together
