Freedom | Galatians 5:13-15 GW

Scripture of the Day Series (1/3)

You were indeed called to be free, brothers and sisters. Don’t turn this freedom into an excuse for your corrupt nature to express itself. Rather, serve each other through love. 14 All of Moses’ Teachings are summarized in a single statement, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” 15 But if you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don’t destroy each other.

Galatians 5:13-15 (GW)

Reflection:

Read Galatians 5:13-15 (GW).

This freedom is from the negative, cynical, and critical mindset and heart condition that come upon us when we leave God.  If we live like this, we will destroy each other, which is why we need to fight for out spiritual condition.  This spiritual freedom frees us from the control of our darker instincts and allows us to love.  Reflect on this and make sure that you are doing well spiritually and loving people.

Deep Spirituality

The promise I made to both God and these friends, was that I would share with others what they had taught me. As a result, we now have “Deep Spirituality,” which is my attempt to inspire others as I was inspired to “Walk with God.”
